Chavín de Huántar is an archaeological site (or archaeological monument) located in the district of Chavín de Huántar, province of Huari, department of Áncash, in Peru. Declared a World Heritage Site in 1985. It is located 462 km northwest of Lima and 86 km from Huaraz, at an elevation of 3,177 m.a.s.l. no. m., in the Sierra Oriental de Áncash to the east of the Cordillera Blanca. The complex is located at the confluence of the Huacheksa and Mosna rivers, in the upper basin of the Marañón River, which was a pre-Inca crossing point from the coast to the jungle, which led to its growth and importance in the collection of supplies and transit.
Pastoruri Glacier: The Pastoruri Glacier is a glacier in Peru located south of the Cordillera Blanca, in the department of Ancash, within the Huascarán National Park declared a World Heritage Site in 1985.
Lagoon 69: Lagoon 69 is a small lagoon near the city of Yungay, in the Ancash region of Peru. It is one of the more than 400 lagoons that are part of the Huascarán National Park, which is considered a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and Natural Heritage of Humanity.
